My main interest is sustainability in womenswear and all of my work incorporates as many sustainable principles as possible.
I worked on a sustainability focused module on my second year and created a modular dress which address' sustainability principles in many ways:
- The design can change colour, shape, style and size.
- It is made of waste bi-product leather and organic, naturally dyed cotton.
- It is biodegradable and recyclable.
- It is long lasting.
- It uses less laundering than traditional garments.
- It uses low energy in production and in changing the garment.
- It enables co-design and community building.
